Leaving Certificate Coaching
Calm, practical support for students under exam pressure
Preparing for the Leaving Certificate can be a challenging time for many students. Even capable, hardworking young people can begin to feel overwhelmed as the exams approach. Anxiety, pressure, and loss of confidence can make it harder to focus, study effectively, and perform at their true ability.
When stress takes over, students often know the material — but can struggle to show it.
Some students also begin to lose motivation during this time. When pressure builds, it can become difficult to start studying, stay focused, or take the steps needed to prepare properly for the Leaving Certificate. Parents often see this and worry, knowing their teen is capable, but unsure how to help them regain momentum. Coaching can help students reconnect with their sense of purpose, rebuild motivation, and take practical steps forward again.
In our coaching sessions, I provide a calm, supportive space where students can step back from the pressure and develop practical tools to manage stress, rebuild motivation, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
How Coaching Can Help
In coaching sessions, students can learn practical tools to help them:
✔ Manage anxiety in realistic, practical ways
✔ Calm the nervous system when stress rises
✔ Improve focus and motivation
✔ Build confidence approaching exams
✔ Develop coping skills that support them both in exams and in life
My goal is simple: to help students feel steadier, clearer, and more capable so they can do the best they can on the day. Many students leave sessions with a renewed sense of:
“I can do this.”
“What I do next matters.”
A Calm and Supportive Space
Coaching sessions provide a calm environment where students can talk openly about the pressures they face.
My aim in every session is that students feel: seen, heard, understood, and supported — leaving with greater hope and practical steps they can take next. Students often find that even one conversation can help them regain perspective and begin approaching their studies with more clarity and confidence.

Taking the First Step for One-to-One / Group Coaching
Sometimes one conversation or group session can make a meaningful difference. Many parents contact me simply because they want their teen to feel calmer, more confident, and better able to cope with the pressures of the Leaving Certificate. Many families choose to start with a single session (either one-to-one or group session) and see how their teen feels afterwards. If it helps, we can then decide together what would be most supportive going forward.
If you feel that your son or daughter would benefit from calm, practical support in the weeks ahead, you are welcome to get in touch. You can Contact Me directly by clicking the 'Contact Me' link, or via WhatsApp, Text or Email.

Why Group Coaching?
Group sessions offer the same calm, practical support as one-to-one coaching, while also providing a small coaching circle. Some students enjoy the opportunity to connect with peers, see they are not alone in facing pressures, and practice tools in a shared environment. Others may prefer the privacy and focus of one-to-one coaching — both approaches support students’ growth in ways that suit their individual preferences.
When Stress Gets in the Way of Potential
Many parents tell me they know their child is capable - but stress or anxiety is getting in the way of them showing what they can really do. When pressure builds, even bright and motivated students can begin to doubt themselves, lose focus, or feel mentally blocked. Through coaching, I help students break that stress cycle and develop practical strategies so they can approach the Leaving Certificate feeling calmer, clearer, and better able to perform at their true level.
